How to choose a tennis ball cricket bat?
There is no size fits all when it comes to tennis cricket. Unlike leather ball where the bats have to be of a certain size, there is scant regard for measurements in tennis cricket. However, an ideal bat will depend on your height and the ball you are going to use.
Height: Standard bat chart provides an indicator on the height of the bat with respect to your height.
Willow: Usually a poplar or Kashmir willow is well suited for tennis cricket. If you are going to play with Wilson or green light Vicky etc you will need a poplar willow, for balls like the Vicky red or turbo red you need to have a Kashmir willow
Handle: Again depending on hard or light ball, for hard ball you need full cane or atleast a semi-cane handle. This helps in absorbing the impact of a heavy ball and does not transfer the shock to your hands. For light tennis cricket a regular handle will do
Position of sweet spot. Given the bounce of a tennis ball, you would need a medium sweetspot on your bat. Too low or too high will not be to your advantage.
